Hexagon Crochet Fundamentals: Learn Pattern Reading with a Versatile Motif

Join Katherine for this next-level crochet class designed to build your confidence with pattern reading while exploring fun and versatile hexagon motifs. Throughout the course, you’ll learn essential skills like reading crochet patterns, working decorative stitches, changing colors, and joining motifs — all through three inspiring hexagon designs. Each week features a new hexagon pattern from Ravelry that you can use on its own as a coaster or combine into scarves, wraps, blankets, bags, and more!

Who This Class Is For?
This class is perfect for crocheters who already know how to make a slip knot, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet stitch.
Materials Needed:
- Patterns:
- Week 1: "Cotton Hexagon Coasters," by Anne Thubron
- Week 2: "Fresh Daisy Crochet Coaster," by Beverly Harbaugh
- Week 3: "Flower Power Hexagon," by Dayna Perry
- Yarn: 125 to 175 yards for each coaster (solid colors or multiple colors as desired)
- Check out Cascade Nifty Cotton, Nifty Cotton Splash, or Sandnes Garn Line
- Crochet Hook: Match with chosen yarn. Can double thinner yarn if desired for a thicker coaster. Adjust hook size based on holding yarn single or double.
- For worsted/aran weight yarns, try hook size G (4mm) - H (5mm)
Class Policy -
- Masks are optional in the classroom and in the shop.
- Refunds or store credits for prepaid class registrations can be made only if we are notified at least two weeks in advance of the beginning of class.
- Missed classes will not be made up unless the instructor was unable to teach or the shop was unexpectedly closed.
