Welcome fall with a fun and creative knitting class featuring two beautiful shawl patterns! Choose between Adam Cleevely's "Tidepath Shawl" and Andrea Mowry's "Anemoia." Designed in worsted weight yarns with the cooler months in mind, these cozy shawls are perfect for adding a stylish layer to your fall wardrobe. Both patterns feature engaging stitch patterns, and opportunities to learn new knitting techniques. Whether you're looking to expand your skills or simply enjoy a relaxing, social knitting experience, this class offers a welcoming and encouraging environment to learn, create, and connect with fellow knitters. Come enjoy the colors and textures of fall while creating a shawl you'll love to wear all season long!

Experience: Students should be comfortable with knit and purl stitches, basic increase and decrease stitches, and have experience working on a circular needle.

For "Tidepath Shawl," Katherine will teach: I-cord cast-on and edge, Kitchener stitch, Chrysalis stitch, slipped stitches, double increase stitches.

For "Anemoia," she'll teach: I-cord, basic one-color brioche with simple increases and decreases, and Nupp stitch with a crochet hook.

Materials: 

• Pattern: Choose between Adam Cleevely's "Tidepath Shawl" and Andrea Mowry's "Anemoia," both available to download from Ravelry
• Yarn: Worsted weight; we recommend De Rerum Natura Gilliatt, Malabrigo Rios, Malabrigo Seis Cabos, Kelbourne Woolens Cozy, and Retrosaria Rosa Pomar Brusca
  • For "Tidepath Shawl," you'll need 3 colors - Main Color: 411 yards, Contrast Color 1: 108 yards, Contrast Color 2: 60 yards, Contrast Color 3: 80 yards
  • For"Anemoia," you'll need 1 color - 750 yards
• Needles: 32" US 7 (4.5mm) circular needles; crochet hook for Nupps if you choose "Anemoia"

Class Policy -

• Masks are optional in the classroom and in the shop.
• Refunds or store credits for prepaid class registrations can be made only if we are notified at least two weeks in advance of the beginning of class.
• Missed classes will not be made up unless the instructor was unable to teach or the shop was unexpectedly closed.
