Crochet Shawl: Pick Your Pattern

Description: Ready for a spring crochet shawl? Join Katherine’s class and pick a crochet
design for your spring shawl project. Choose between "Crochet CLEO Shawl" and "Estrid Shawl," two beginner-friendly patterns that are made with DK weight yarn. Click the links above to read more and purchase the pattern of your choice.
Experience: Students should be comfortable with chaining, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and reading a basic crochet pattern. Class will cover the additional stitches used in the patterns, edging, and blocking instructions.
Materials needed:
- For "Crochet CLEO Shawl," by Saskia Paulich: pattern available to purchase from Etsy
- DK weight yarn: 1400 yards for medium size, 1700 yards for large size
- This design is easily modified for many types of yarn. Katherine is using a lighter weight yarn, Julie Asselin Leizu Fingering Non Traitee
- 4 mm (US G) crochet hook, or size to match your yarn
- For "Estrid Shawl," by Tanjas Crochet: pattern available to purchase from Ravelry
- DK weight yarn: 660 yards for small size, 880 yards for large size
- Katherine is holding two thinner yarns together for a unique blend - Fyberspates Cumulus and Isager Alpaca 2
- 3.5 mm (US E) crochet hook, or size to match your yarn
- Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors, blocking supplies
Class Policy -
- Masks are optional in the classroom and in the shop.
- Refunds or store credits for prepaid class registrations can be made only if we are notified at least two weeks in advance of the beginning of class.
- Missed classes will not be made up unless the instructor was unable to teach or the shop was unexpectedly closed.
