Crochet Scarf: Pick Your Pattern

Ready to make your first crochet scarf? Join us to learn how to make either of these two beautiful crochet scarves each made with worsted or aran weight yarn. The patterns can be
made with solid colors, self-striping yarn, stripes, or variegated yarns.
- "Granny’s Jewel Scarf," by Heather Lodinsky: granny squares
- "The Krèt Scarf," by DeBrosse: ribbed
Experience needed: Students should be familiar with basic crochet stitches such as chain, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet.
Materials needed:
- Pattern: either "Granny’s Jewel Scarf" or "The Krèt Scarf," available for download from Ravelry
- Yarn:
- Katherine made her "Granny’s Jewel Scarf" with Lang Merino + Color, a self-striping wool yarn. Requires 750-850 yards of worsted or aran weight yarn.
- Katherine is making her "The Krèt Scarf" with Berroco Ultra Alpaca, a wool/alpaca blend in solid colors. Requires 700 yds of worsted or aran weight yarn.
- Crochet hook: use a size that makes a fabric you love, around a size I, J, or K
- Notions: tapestry needle, scissors
Class Policy -
- Masks are optional in the classroom and in the shop.
- Refunds or store credits for prepaid class registrations can be made only if we are notified at least two weeks in advance of the beginning of class.
- Missed classes will not be made up unless the instructor was unable to teach or the shop was unexpectedly closed.
- Refunds or store credits for missed classes cannot be made.
