Welcome fall with a cozy crochet class filled with creativity, color, and inspiration! Students can choose between two beginner-friendly projects: a versatile poncho or a classic granny square pillow that can be easily adapted to different pillow sizes. Choose one color or several, customizing your project with yarn choice and color arrangement. Whichever project you choose, you’ll have an opportunity to learn new stitches and techniques, experiment with color, and create something beautiful. Come enjoy the warmth and creativity of the fall season, spend time with fellow crafters, and make something cozy to enjoy throughout the season!

Experience: Come to class knowing how to chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet. Katherine will teach poncho and pillow construction, basic seaming, working in the round, increasing, changing colors, and adding fringe/tassels.

Materials needed:

• Poncho:
  • Pattern: "Ava Fringed Poncho" by Ashleigh Kisser - free to download from Ravelry
  • Yarn: DK-weight yarn with good drape; we recommend Cascade Ultra Pima, Universal Bamboo Pop, or Kelbourne Woolens Scout
    • XS/S: ~1,000 yards
    • M/L: ~1,000 yards
    • XL/2XL: ~1,250 yards
    • 3XL/4XL: ~1,500 yards
  • Hook: J/10 (6.0 mm), or size needed to obtain gauge (17 double crochet x 9 rows = 4")
  • Notions: Tapestry needle, opening stitch markers, scissors, measuring tape
• Pillow:
  • Pattern: "Starburst Square Pillow" by Angel Hawari - purchase from Ravelry
  • Yarn: DK-weight yarn in 3 or more colors; 850–900 yards total
  • Hook: E (3.5 mm) (E)
  • Notions: Tapestry needle, scissors
  • Square pillow form in your desired finished size

Class Policy -

• Masks are optional in the classroom and in the shop.
• Refunds or store credits for prepaid class registrations can be made only if we are notified at least two weeks in advance of the beginning of class.
• Missed classes will not be made up unless the instructor was unable to teach or the shop was unexpectedly closed.
• Refunds or store credits for missed classes cannot be made.
