Let’s look inside the new issue of Laine!
Laine Magazine is a publication out of Finland, an international knitting and lifestyle magazine with a love of natural fibers as its focus, and a reputation for beautiful designs and tantalizing photography.
This Autumn issue, Laine 22, features cozy and stylish knits for the season. Photographed in the Paimio Sanatorium, designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, the issue is also a celebration of architecture. The building’s unique colours and shapes are a perfect backdrop to these autumn knits, full of interesting styles and techniques from cables and lace to textured patterns.
Beyond the patterns, there are seasonal recipes and plenty of good reading, including an article on yarn substitution, Jeanette Sloan’s column Fibre Talk, and a profile of Finnish knitwear designer Jenna Kostet.
